Angola and Chile Discuss Cooperation
The relations of cooperation between Angola and Chile are at the centre of the visit to the Chilean capital, Santiago, of the Angolan ambassador to Brazil, Nelson Cosme, who also represents Angola in that Latin American country as non-resident diplomat.
According to a note that reached ANGOP on 19th September, the diplomat participates on 18-19 this month in the act which marks the 205th anniversary of the independence of Chile.
Angola and Chile maintain bilateral relations based on the Co-operation General Agreement strengthened in 2014 during the visit to Angola of the President of Chile, Michelle Bachelett, who signed a purchase agreement of Angolan crude-oil and discussed with the Angolan authorities the basis for a common action plan, signed in September 2014 by the foreign ministers of the two countries during a United Nations General Assembly.
