Man sentenced to hang for killing albino child

A 50 year old man was sentenced to death by hanging for murdering a five-year-old albino child, the Daily News reported. The child’s body was discovered in 2008 with the legs cut off and drained of blood, the newspaper reported, citing a high court ruling.
As the Judge, Rugazia, explained the verdict was to show that the country won’t tolerate the ritual murder of people with albinism. He said that the death sentence should serve as a deterrent lesson to other ruthless people who kill albinos who are human beings just like any other person, the newspaper said, citing the Judge.
