Malawi: So Far So Good - EC

The Electoral Commission (EC) says, half-way through Malawi's voting day, there has been no major challenge to the electoral process except for the turning away of some voters by presiding officers.
EC's publicist, Fegus Lipenga, said "so far so good", adding it had been an encouraging day as most voters turned up in large numbers.
He said, however, it may take until tomorrow to get the full picture of the number of people who turned up to vote.
In 2004, only one of every two registered voters turned up to vote. (ALLAFRICA)
