Nafwu: Farm occupation campaign back on

In a move setting it back on a collision course with Government and Swapo, the Namibian Farm Workers' Union (Nafwu) has vowed to push ahead with its planned invasion of farms if crucial talks fail to produce a settlement. The union announced that it had not abandoned its mission, but rather suspended it to allow dialogue with the Namibia Agricultural Union (NAU), which represents commercial farmers. As Nafwu General Secretary Alfred Angula put it: "We would like to take evicted and dumped workers back to where they were working, so that they can be resettled there, as that is the only home they have ever known, and this should be very clear to all".
